Meet the Enso House Staff
Ann Cutcher, MD, has served as Executive Director of Enso House since 2002, overseeing the development of an all-volunteer hospice, caregiving courses and a community resource for everything having to do with aging and end of life. She has been a caregiver for over 100 guests. Now she is mentoring staff on ways to support caregivers.
Rinsan, Formerly Head Monk at Tahoma Zen Monastery, Rinsan has served as a caregiver for hospice patients and all-around helper at Enso House, taking on whatever jobs are needed at any particular time. Recently, he has been building a hermitage in the mountains of New Mexico.
Hadrian Abbott BA (hons), LPN: A student of Harada Roshi, Hadrian has been attending meditation retreats at Tahoma Zen Monastery for 16 years. He spent six months at Enso House in 2010 before going to Nursing School. After graduating from Nursing School he worked as an ER nurse and did occasional ICU shifts. For the past four years he has been working as an LPN/Case Manager at River Stone Recover Clinic in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. River Stone specializes in harm reduction treatment for Opioid and Stimulant use disorders. Years ago he worked at Casey House Hospice in Toronto which provided care during the height of the AIDS crisis.
Kate R. Casey, M.C., LMHC, RYT completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Counseling with a specialty in the treatment of alcoholism. She has worked full-time as a psychotherapist for four decades. Since 2005, she has served as a volunteer with Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, Washington providing animal-assisted therapy and focusing on end-of-life care. In addition, she teaches yoga, mindfulness and meditation.
Arthur Molin and Andrea Hoekstra settled in the Pacific Northwest in 2015 and love the natural beauty of the area. They are lifelong learners, and on the board of directors of their church. They are long-time students of Tai Chi, Yoga, and Zen Buddhism. They look forward to supporting Enso House in its mission to Care for the Caregivers of Whidbey Island.
